Cancer Care Northwest is looking for an experienced leader to assume the following Chief Executive Officer responsibilities:
Provide leadership in the conception, planning, and development of strategies and objectives for consideration and adoption by the Board of Directors.
Establish a business climate that will ensure success of the organization’s business.
Direct the development of tactical objectives identified in the organization’s strategic plan. Ensure the selection of effective, measurable operational planning targets that advance the promise of exceptional patient experience.
Provide the necessary oversight in the planning, development and execution of major capital expansion programs.
Implement effective and ongoing programs to measure, assess and improve the quality of care provided to patients.
Maintains and safeguard the property of the organization, including all risk management and compliance matters.
Directs the business and financial affairs of the organization by employing a system of accountability to ensure responsible fiscal management including accounting, budgeting, internal controls and timely reporting.
Studies and presents to all shareholders ways of enhancing operational effectiveness.
Represents the organization in its relationships with community businesses and civic associations, government agencies, and professional organizations. Is a member of The Alliance Board and facilitates all meetings and activities associated with it.
Reports regularly to the Board of directors and Shareholders on the operations of the organization and the performance of its various departments.
Ensures that all activities of the organization are in compliance with all federal and state statutes. Keeps abreast of pending legislation, including PQRS, MIPS and MACRA initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications Include
10+ years of progressively responsible in senior management or leadership positions for a complex healthcare organization with a proven track record.
Experience working in operations in a clinical setting.
Master’s Degree in healthcare, business administration, public health or other related discipline is strongly preferred.
Experience in strategic planning, financial management and business literacy, superb physician relations, information technology understanding, organizational design and assessment, and highly developed leadership and collaboration skills.
Working knowledge of a performance improvement methodology, such as Lean or Six Sigma, CQI, TQM etc.

Cancer Care Northwest is the managing partner of The Alliance for Cancer Care. The Alliance is a collaborative effort between Cancer Care Northwest, Kootenai Health and Providence Health Care to further optimize the quality, coordination and experience for cancer patients and their families. This collaboration allows patients to have access to the finest hospitals, largest group of specialists, and most complete and advanced cancer treatment options available in the Inland Northwest.
