The Education Consultant serves as a partner to internal and external business leaders to determine training needs, develop training programs, and demonstrate current program effectiveness through a consistent application of the overarching learning philosophy related to Information Management (IM) systems implementations. The consultant will design, update, and implement in-house, and vendor-provided training programs using a variety of delivery methods, including but not limited to classroom, individual, self-paced, and computer-based training.
Design & Development
Provide proactive consultation with subject matter experts and customers to identify and obtain learning objectives and content; and advise customers on various learning approaches.
Analyze and select the most appropriate learning strategy, methodology, and technology to maximize the learning experience and impact.
Draft storyboards, and mock-ups, for interactive learning solutions such as, e-learning and video development.
Design, create, and develop informal and formal learning solutions to meet business needs.
Identify existing learning materials that may be leveraged or modified to support existing learning needs.
Engage SMEs to ensure relevant learning. Adequately scope, communicate, and plan for SME involvement to ensure accurate content design.
Participate in quality assurance oversight related to all education deliverables.
Deliver informal and formal learning solutions in a manner that both engages the learner and produces the desired outcome.
Ensure that learning solutions are delivered on appropriate platforms, such as classroom, Intranet, Learning Management System, etc.
Applications & Technology
Experience with various applications as it relates to assigned service line, such as clinical, business or infrastructure technologies.
Maintain increasing technical knowledge of assigned applications such as learning management, authoring, multimedia, etc.
Gather, organize and analyze information regarding the impact of learning solutions against key business drivers;
Assist customers with developing and deploying moderately complex education reports from the Learning Management System, such as attendance, competency, compliance, etc.
Measure effectiveness of learning programs utilizing best practice evaluation platforms, such as Kirkpatrick
With minimal guidance, define boundaries, set priorities, plan and manage multiple projects.
With guidance, develop detailed project schedules for all assigned projects, mapping dates and resources to tasks. Monitor progress and resolve approved deviations from plan.
Demonstrate strong communication and human relationship skills.
Provide effective customer service by being courteous, polite and friendly at all times. Acknowledge customers timely in order to determine their need and help the customer resolve the issue or request. Participate in departmental programs that promote and deliver exceptional customer service.
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Manager of Educational Services.
Pursue professional growth and development through personal reading, seminars, workshops and professional affiliations to keep abreast of the trends in his/her field of expertise. May be required to travel to perform duties.
May be required to work outside of normal working hours.
May be required to work long hours during critical problems or implementations.
