Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is recruiting for an Infection Prevention/ControlManager to develop and coordinate the hospital-wide infection prevention and control program, surveillance, prevention and control of infection. Administer department goals, objectives, policies and procedures, develops and implements revisions as necessary and makes recommendations to ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory standards. In addition, the position collaborates with physicians, nurses, department managers, supervisors and occupational health to provide resources to resolve problems and identify new opportunities to improve services and reduce costs in accordance with evidence based practice; conducts reporting activities and participates in administrative and medical staff committee meetings providing reports and recommendations.

Travel: Travel throughout the County may be required. Employees will be required to make provision for transportation. At the time of hire, a valid California Class C driver license and proof of automobile liability insurance must be produced for the individual providing the transportation.
Candidates must possess all of the following:
Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Business or Healthcare Administration or closely related field AND certification from the Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology.
Experience: One (1) year of experience responsible for infection surveillance, prevention and control activities/program in an acute care hospital.
Experience: Two (2) years of experience performing infection surveillance, prevention and control activities in a Public Health environment
An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be considered at the discretion of Human Resources.
