Directs the development and execution of a system-wide Communications and Public Relations Strategy that delivers engaging and effective communications programs to support brand loyalty, engage key stakeholders (internal and external) and emphasize our culture of “One SCL Health.” Director will lead a shared services team of communications professionals responsible for creating compelling stories and communication opportunities to drive a sense of “community” among key audiences, including: associates at all levels of the ministry; providers; key partners; community leaders; and consumers. Supports the creation of integrated and shared content and messaging that resonates across SCL Health (both system and care sites). Serves as the curator and communications expert in the development of communications (both written and multimedia) that will be used to populate marketing and communications channels. Maintains a consistent brand voice and ensures that SCL Health’s reputation and mission is thoughtfully communicated and carefully managed. Partners with marketing managers to ensure SCL Health communications are aligned with “go-to-market” strategies to boost effectiveness of external advertising campaigns. At the direction of the System VP Communications, individual will fulfill System PIO duties and support certain SCL Health executive communications, messaging and issues management, as needed.
Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing or related field, or equivalent knowledge, with a minimum of 10 years of direct experience.
Advanced degree preferred.
Strong knowledge of market dynamics, contemporary communication principles, digital, social and traditional formats.
Outstanding written, oral and electronic communication skills. Clearly and effectively articulates thoughts and ideas.
Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work in and support a matrix environment.
Demonstrated confidence, leadership, flexibility and independence.
