The University of Central Florida (UCF) College of Medicine (COM) is seeking applicants for a tenure-track assistant, associate, or full professor position in the Department of Internal Medicine. The successful applicant will be an outstanding independent population health research investigator as demonstrated by extramural funding and publications in peer-reviewed journals.
Applicants for this tenure-earning faculty position will help grow a robust transdisciplinary population health research team at the UCF College of Medicine. Applicants should be exceptional leaders who wish to enhance the college's research programs through an exciting period of growth and expansion. The selected candidate will be actively involved in population health research, education, research dissemination, and community service efforts. Position Minumum Qualifications:
Candidates must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree from an accredited institution, qualify for the tenure track at the UCFCOM, and demonstrate independent scholarly productivity in population health-related research, based on both a record of extramural funding in the role of principal investigator and publications in peer-reviewed journals.
In order to be eligible for appointment as a tenured associate professor or full professor of medicine upon hire, the successful candidate must have a demonstrated record of scholarly achievement, teaching experience and service commensurate with rank.
Additional preferred qualification include: • Demonstrated expertise in topics currently of interest by governmental funding agencies as defined by requests-for-application announcements. These include: clinical outcome and health services research, social determinants in health care delivery and outcomes, patient-centered outcomes, migrant health, behavioral sciences, and opioid and other addictions-related research. • A record of ongoing, consistent, and recurring funding from extramural sources (NIH or equivalent). • Expertise in the use of theoretical frameworks to guide, develop, and implement behavioral and clinical interventions. • Research that can lead to collaborations with existing population health faculty at the COM as well as other disciplines at UCF. • A consistent track record of successful funding as the mentor on NIH training awards for junior faculty. • A Master of Public Health degree
