Plans, develops, implements, evaluates, and participates in education outreach and injury prevention programs for trauma populations. This includes promoting the trauma program in the community, serving as a specialist and resource person for hospital staff, and providing service within the program. This position will work with the trauma administration staff to promote the trauma program while maintaining the requirements of the American College of Surgeons for a Level I Adult and Level II Pediatric program.
Education/Experience: Graduation from and accredited school of nursing and three (3) years of ER or Critical Care clinical nursing experience.
Licensing/Certification Requirements: Valid License by State of Nevada to Practice as a Registered Nurse. American Heart Association Healthcare Provider (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) at hire. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC), Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum (TNCC) and Advanced Burn Live Support (ABLS) at hire or within 12 months of hire.
EXPERIENCE WITH MICROSOFT OFFICE PRODUCTS INCLUDING WORD, EXCEL AND POWER POINT.
EXPERIENCE DEVELOPING, COORDINATING AND TEACHING CLASSES.
