The MSO System Administrator is responsible for working as a technical liaison among multiple stakeholders involved in the YMCA Chronic Disease Prevention Program. Primary duties include: managing helpdesk tickets, resolving end user technical support issues, application administration, communicating system changes and updating relevant training materials. The MSO System Administrator will also assist the YUSA Privacy Officer with compliance monitoring of HIPAA data privacy standards.
Receive and record user issues into the MSO help desk application by creating new tickets.
Monitor the MSO help desk and resolve EMR and other system related tickets.
Work with YUSA IT operational and development teams to resolve domain, security, networking and infrastructure issues.
Create and maintain detailed system and network diagrams of all MSO systems.
Administer all MSO applications by managing user accounts and applications setting to provide user access, optimize performance, and maintain security.
Administering application databases creating, modifying, and removing required database objects such and tables, views, and stored procedures.
Implement required EMR system changes based on provided functional requirements.
Coordinate and communicate system changes and roll-outs to relevant parties.
Maintain a development and production EMR environment.
Test, perform and oversee EMR system enhancements and program roll-outs.
Maintain critical system configuration files using a revision control system.
Assists with the creation and maintenance of training materials and assists with the program training delivery.
Identify and actively monitor key EMR system components to ensure optimal operation.
Assist in monitoring relevant EMR systems to ensure data privacy and security is maintained.

EFFECT ON END RESULTS/STRATEGIC IMPACT
Responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of the EMR in collaboration with both the MSO and Evidence Based Health Intervention leadership teams
Collaborate with MSO and EBHI teams to ensure that local YMCA staff is maximizing use of EMR to achieve both program clinical and financial outcomes.
Conduct regular audits and monitor EMR system to ensure that YUSA is adhering to HIPAA data security compliance policies and procedures.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Bachelor’s degree of equivalent, required.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in IT environment, required.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in working with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, preferred.
Strong understanding of system administration concepts, required.
Strong understanding of networking concepts required, required.
Strong understanding of database design, local and physical models, data schemas, required.
Fundamental understating of performance optimization concepts, preferred.
Ability to interface and communicate effectively with non-technical personnel, required.
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication and presentation skills, required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office application, with expert knowledge of Visio, required.
CISSP certification, preferred.
CCNA or Network+ certification, preferred.
Experience with Sale Force Service Cloud, highly preferred.
Experience with Athena Health EHR, highly preferred.
Experience with HIPAA privacy and security rules, preferred.
