OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center (SAMC), is seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to join their team as the new Director, Cardiovascular and Neurovascular Services. A part of the OSF Healthcare System, SAMC is a 254-bed tertiary care facility with a Level I Trauma Center located in Rockford, Illinois. Specifically, this individual will be responsible for the overall direction and development of the Cardiovascular and Neuro Vascular Services Lines.
OSF HealthCare System is a Sisters of the Third Order of Saint Francis owned and operated organization. It is comprised of eleven hospitals and/or medical centers as well as a medical group boasting over 700 physicians and is charged with providing convenient access and exceptional care to patients within eleven communities in Illinois and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
The Director, Cardiovascular and Neurovascular Services will provide operational oversight and administrative direction for new and expanding diagnostic and interventional operations including: cardiac catheterization services, electro physiology, interventional and neuro interventional radiology services. The Neurovascular service line is a new addition to the services provided by OSF with a neuro-interventional biplane suite that is the best in the region. As a result, this role will be responsible for marketing services and external education of the service line. The Director will also establish and maintain relationships with community partners and referral groups while working collaboratively with internal departments to strategically identify growth opportunities and develop marketing plans.
The Director, Cardiovascular and Neurovascular Services reports to the Vice President of Patient Care Services, Chief Nursing Officer with matrix reporting relationships to the Vice President of Cardiovascular Medical Services Northern Region, and the Vice President of Operations Illinois Neurological Institute.
A proven leader with a strong technical background and business acumen is sought for this position. This leader must be a high-capacity professional who is both detail-oriented and exceptional at establishing and enhancing positive relationships with physicians, staff, and patients. This individual must also be a strong communicator who is effective at commanding respect and building credibility. They must be hands-on and prepared to scrub in for cases when necessary or appropriate. The Director adds value by identifying clinical challenges, working towards best practices, driving standardized processes, achieving quality improvements through evidence-based medicine and leveraging resources available locally and throughout the OSF Healthcare System.
