Carle Physician Group is looking to hire a Science Writer/Research Project Developer to join our staff at our research institute in Urbana, Illinois.
Position Details Include:
The successful candidate will lead the design of research plans, including a review of current literature, the articulation of aims and the development of research protocols to conduct the study.
Additionally, the SW/RPD will provide clinical-investigators with support in project oversight and management, including tracking of milestones and budget, and writing of reports.
The candidate will be responsible for providing strategic services to clinical-investigators ranging from consultation to the hands-on conduct of the research activities, including data analysis, interpretation of results, as well as the writing, reviewing, and editing of scientific papers.
The candidate may also be responsible for developing workshops in topics such as scientific writing, hypotheses and specific aims development, and will be expected to work with members of the Stephens Family Clinical Research Institute staff.
Candidate must have a PhD in health-related field
Competitive salary based on training and experience
Minimum of 3 years in a post-graduate role in a research environment, preferably with a clinical focus
Demonstrated experience in competitive grant writing, preferably as a principal investigator or co-investigator
Demonstrated experience in writing complete research protocols and navigating them through an IRB approval process, conducting statistical analyses, publishing peer-reviewed articles
Demonstrated understanding of HIPAA and IRB policies
