Director, Reimbursement

Cook Children's is looking for a Director, Reimbursement for our medical center, which is the cornerstone of Cook Children's Health Care System.  Here you'll find top medical minds, advanced technologies and treatments and leading-edge clinical research, all designed to meet the health care needs of children. 

In this role, you will be responsible for the management and preparation of the Medicare/Medicaid annual cost reports for the Medical Center and for the Health System.  As Cook Children's Director, Reimbursement, you will: 

• manage the preparation of utilization and financial surveys
• assist with the outside financial audit
• oversee the government audits
• act as liaison on supplemental programs activity

In addition, you will accumulate and maintain monthly supplemental program activity, and you will report the results to the Assistant Vice President of Finance for Cook Children's Medical Center.  As the director, you will be responsible for the preparation and submission of the annual DSH/UC Tool for reimbursement from the state of Texas. 

The Director, Reimbursement is the main DBD (data base administrator) for the CHCA PROSPECT program.  They will continually monitor and report ways to maximize reimbursement where applicable. 

Requirements: 

Education and Experience:

• Bachelors' of Science in Business/Accounting
• CPA or MBA preferred
• Two years' experience in a position requiring cost report preparation and reimbursement analysis
• Knowledge in Microsoft applications
• Must be familiar with Texas Medicaid regulations

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification:

• CPA preferred
