AVAILABLE FACULTY POSITION – PROGRAM DIRECTOR, NURSE MIDWIFERY
We are currently seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife for a faculty appointment as Program Director of the Nurse Midwifery track. This position will combine leadership, teaching, scholarship, and faculty practice in the Nurse Midwifery track of the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program. Qualified applicants will demonstrate a commitment to the dissemination of new knowledge to support nursing practice and education.
Serves as a full-time faculty teaching in the Nurse Midwifery and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) program tracks. Provides leadership for nurse midwifery faculty and MSN students to assure students attain Midwifery, WHNP and MSN program outcomes. The Program Director will have a part-time clinical appointment in the full-scope faculty practice. Clinical time may include on-call responsibilities. Precepting students in the clinical area is required.

Doctoral preparation (DNP or PhD) strongly preferred. Must be certified as a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM), have two years of practice experience as a RN in the US and be eligible for an Ohio nursing license. Academic experience, leadership and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with other members of the health care and academic teams are essential. A record of teaching, scholarly productivity, and service is required. A program of research is compatible with this position, although not required.
