The Project Coordinator for Surgical Services, reporting to the VP Quality & Safety, is a role designed for supporting and facilitating cross-functional teams that are chartered to deliver clinical improvements in surgical care and related patient outcomes. The Project Coordinator will facilitate the AHRQ Improving Surgical Care and Recovery initiative and other related projects coordinating the work flow and doing the data abstraction and submission. The Project Coordinator will schedule all meetings and take minutes as required. Additionally, the coordinator works with all members of the team to ensure forward progress within the required time frame. The Program Coordinator will escalate to the VP Safety and Quality and Chair of the Department of survey when barriers and obstacles impede progress. Bachelor's Degree in Health Care Administration or related field required (Master's degree preferred). Clinical background required. Demonstrates success in facilitating improvement projects with sustained outcomes preferred. Excellent written, verbal skills, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Ability to coordinate, prioritize, and completes multiple projects on time and with success independently or with limited oversight. Proficient in information technology systems and applications as necessary including MS office, Crimson, SMS, 3M, Verge and HBI Newark Beth Israel Medical Center is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
