Responsible for gathering and documenting user and process requirements, developing workflows, system documentation and technical support of the ServiceNow platform. This position works within the Service Transition Lifecycle of ITIL supporting the processes of ServiceNow. Partners with IT, Functional departments and Vendors to develop and deploy applications that automate and audit business processes. Working to simplify, streamline, automate and eliminate processes within IT. Ensures client service and satisfaction are attained in all areas of the position. Works under the supervision of the Team Lead, ITSM Director or management designate.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
*1. Develops, maintains, and enhances new and existing applications, including custom, integrated and packaged applications. Collaborates with functional leads and application consultants regarding business requirements and to write the design specifications for system solutions.
*2. Apply strategies and approaches to identify risks with implementation, assessing their likelihood, and initiating strategies to test for those risks. Report and communicate project risks, progress and status to management.
*3. Collaborates with functional leads on comprehensive system planning, coordination, development, execution and monitoring.
*4. Works in Development, QA/testing and Production environments. Manage and perform migrations between environments and data loads as required.
*5. Analyzes requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow and scheduling limitations.
*6. Design/program/configure forms as requested by the end user and approved by governance
*7. Responsible (along with the team) for all aspects of the system upgrades.
*8. Adheres to change management procedures to ensure proper tracking, documentation, testing and approval is provided regarding changes to the environment or application.
*9. Ensures solutions conform to current industry standards as well as to corporate guidelines and standards.
*10. Records, reports, and tracks issues/bugs to accurately depict the status of the system.
*11. Accountable for the work completion of other team members.
*12. Maintains concise understanding of the organizations business strategy overall and assigned areas in particular.
*13. Reports project progress and activity to a higher-level technical analyst or management designate.
*14. Works with departmental and division management to develop and implement Information Technology strategies.
*15. Maintains high level of technical expertise in the Geisinger Information Technology environment.
16. Performs other duties as required or assigned.

COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
Project management, software acquisition, vendor management, disparate system interfaces, software upgrades, systems support, mentoring, and task organization.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering or a related field; or technical diploma / technical certification in a field related to the position required. Minimum of four years of related experience in I.T.
In lieu of degree or certification, minimum of seven years of experience in IT, computer science, system engineering, or a similar field required.
ITIL Foundations or higher-level certification required. ServiceNow Admin training completed within 12 months of hire date.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work is typically performed in an office environment. Current Pennsylvania Driver's License required. Traveling to other Geisinger Health System locations may be necessary.
