The Physician Leadership & Development Consultant’s primary responsibility is to oversee the design, development, coordination, implementation and evaluation of physician leadership development and engagement programs using accelerated learning methodologies.
Position Details and Responsibilities:
Serve as an expert by consulting, coaching, and identifying training and physician engagement opportunities
Assess individual and organizational leadership development and engagement needs and evaluates/measures program effectiveness
Reports to the Executive Director of Medical Education and partners with Medical Staff leadership and other Human Resource professionals (specifically Organizational Development Consultant and Leadership Development Consultant) to coordinate physician leadership and engagement activities
Works closely with the Physician Development Specialist to create a strategic and complementary programs to enhance physician resilience, education, engagement and leadership
Consistently find ways for physicians to effectively and compassionately deliver the best possible care
Inspire and implement the appropriate changes when necessary
Collaborate with other departments and professionals as needed for continued growth and development
Bachelor’s Degree in related field required
Master’s Degree preferred
5+ years’ experience in an instructional design capacity including program design, development and delivery utilizing adult and accelerated learning methodologies required
3+ years’ experience in training and development directly related to onboarding, leadership and professional development and engagement programs required
Minimum one (1) year experience in coaching, leading and collaborating with leadership required
Experience working in a training environment specifically with physician groups and/or in a healthcare setting highly desirable
Experience with the following: measuring effectiveness of training initiatives and workforce engagement; communicating and working with all levels within an organization; Learning Management Systems (LMS), publishing eLearning outcomes utilizing an authoring tool; Microsoft Office; and project management
