Responsible for strategically planning and implementing outreach efforts focusing on physicians, physician extenders, and physician office staff in the assigned market service areas (collectively, Physicians) and other potential referral sources for Tenet Physician Resources (TPR) Physician offices in their assigned markets. The position primarily focuses on educating Physicians on pre-specified services, available within the TPR clinics with the goal of increasing the selection of our services by Physicians based on our high standards for clinical quality and service. Work to be performed in compliance with the Companyâ��s Standards of Conduct and policies and procedures, particularly those involving referral source arrangements.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for strategically planning and implementing visits to Physicians and Physician office staffs throughout the primary and secondary markets in an effort to increase the selection of TPR services based on TPR physicianâ��s high levels of clinical quality and service.Focus will be on Physicians who are approved by Group VP of Business Development and Group CSO.
Report on the activity level and outcomes of activities on a regular basis.
Thoroughly research Physicians to understand where and why they refer patients to our hospitals or other hospitals and where they perform their procedures and why.
Work with key TPR operational leaders to implement operational fixes that may be needed to better serve patients.
Provide intelligence to appropriate TPR leadership and GVP of Business Development as to process improvements suggested by Physicians.
Provide input to the Group VP of Business Development who creates a list of approved Physicians highlighting where the PDM should focus their time.
Assist in the development of physician/practice marketing plans.
Demonstrate knowledge of the physician and competitor strengths and weaknesses and develops solutions for gaining a competitive edge.
Serve as a resource for TPR in the development and implementation of physician recruitment and retention plans and for physician outreach in the physician's service areas.
Monitor physician patterns of utilization of the TPR physician practices for the purpose of identifying process improvement opportunities.
Document all activities and issues in appropriate PRM tool. Manage issue resolution or coordinate with appropriate leadership to resolve issues and communicate the resolution to appropriate stakeholders.
Responsible for performing within a culture within the team of the highest ethical standards, strict adherence to company policies and procedures and demonstrating the skills necessary to grow based on quality, service and outcomes and not referral source contracts or arrangements.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors degree in Marketing/Sales or a related field or the equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience
Masterâ��s degree in Business or Healthcare
At least 5 years of experience in a related field such as physician relations, network development, medically-related sales, or a similar role in a hospital or other healthcare setting, preferably from Tenet or a company with a robust ethics and compliance program. Experience in practice management/marketing a plus.
Possess and demonstrate excellent organizational, interpersonal, facilitation, oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to travel 5% of time.
