Coordinates Inventory of disposable medical/surgical supplies and equipment. Responsible for processing stock requisitions, outgoing shipments and returns. Receiving and issuing documents and other related inventory documentation. Tracks disposable supplies and equipment with computer systems. Works with Inventory Analyst in procurement procedures, product changes, and other duties as assigned by the Inventory analyst. Coordinate with Nurse Manager, Charge Nurses, and associates regarding stock issues and problems. Responsible for checking in stock and non-stock orders, assuring items are received properly and not damaged, and for putting stock away in its designated location.
High School Diploma or equivalent. Completion of computer, accounting/bookkeeping and/or business courses preferred.
Three (3) years demonstrated computer experience required.
Two (2) years inventory control experience, medical product and equipment knowledge and inventory data base management experience preferred.
Knowledge of improvement techniques and processes used to identify and prevent inventory and/or billing variations highly preferred.
