Masters degree in Healthor Business Administration required and B.S. degree in clinical, biological orclinical science. Minimum of 5 years of experience in management capacity. Mustbe well organized with problem solving abilities. Employee relations experiencewith strong leadership skills required. Leads the development, implementation, andcontinuous improvement of care delivery models and services that meet orexceed customer expectations. Leads the fiscal oversight of allocated resources in order to optimize efficient andeffective utilization. Provides effective andcoordinated leadership of patient care within specified clinical patient serviceareas. Directs oversightfunctions responsible for compliance with regulatory, accrediting, and 3rd partypayer regulations and standards. Develops an annual operating budget for assigned areas thatencompasses both current and future operational demands. Participates in the strategic planningstructures and processes withadministration, medical team members, and clinical leadership. Assures thatappropriate communication occurs with leadership and clinical team membersrelated to hospital operations. Promotes the development and use of evidence-based, outcome-driventreatment methods, which are deemed 'best-practice' through comprehensivebenchmarking of care provided to patient populations of comparable severity andclinical risk. Assures that an effectiveprogram is in place to measure, assess and improve the quality of nursing caredelivered topatients. Maintains flexibility inthe business unit which allows for easy transition of resources to respond tochanges in practice or demand in the health care market.
