The Communications Specialist, Tucson reports directly to the Communications Manager, Arizona. Under the oversight of the Communications Manager, this position has responsibility for day-to-day message drafting, generating positive news that focuses on service lines and hospital reputation, building and maintaining media relationships, internal communications development and execution, assisting the marketing team with social media implementation and staffing public relations events on-site.
Under the direction of the Communications Manager/Director, the Communications Specialist, Tucson is responsible for all aspects of day-to-day hospital communications including proactive earned media, social media content, and internal communications within accordance of all applicable Tenet policies and procedures, state and federal laws and regulations. These responsibilities include: participation in the creation of annual communications plan that aligns with company strategy; implementation of placement of positive, service line and reputation stories in the local media; social media content creation; press release creation and distribution; maintaining media relationships; contributes to the hospitals website newsroom content, contributes to media monitoring and reporting the hospital A â�� Teams. In addition, the Communications Specialist, Tucson will work with the Communications Director, Texas & Arizona and Senior Director and of Communications in Dallas on hospital crisis communication and reactive media responses. The Communications Specialist, Tucson will be the day-to-day contact for hospital CEOs for communications support and will work directly with each hospital marketing manager to ensure alignment on supporting hospital marketing and strategic initiatives.
Bachelor's Degree in PR, Journalism, etc. 1-2 year's experience
