At the Vanderbilt Eye Institute, we strive to make life better for adults and children with eye conditions including glaucoma, vision loss and diseases of the retina. We treat patients from across Tennessee and the Southeast. Our doctors, researchers and support staff use the latest technologies and methods, and we conduct vital vision research that translates to better treatments.
We are looking forward to working with a highly motivated individual who can collaborate with others in lab and who exhibits a high level of professionalism, dedication, reliability, intellectual curiosity and technical expertise.
We have an immediate opening for an entry-level research assistant position in our lab. The recruited person will work with the researchers in the laboratory studying ocular diseases and immunologic functions in preclinical models under a number of pathological conditions. This position requires a willingness to work with rodents and infectious agents, and to work sometimes on an irregular schedule.
Prior experience with chemical or molecular biological techniques is desirable but not required.
