Hospice of the Carolina Foothills is seeking a Vice President of Clinical Services.
Position Summary: The Vice President of Clinical Services is responsible for ensuring that all clinical services are delivered according to the hospice philosophy and accepted standards of care, and related functions to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards. This includes responsibility for financial management and accountability for all departmental functions, including budgets and cost management strategies, departmental strategic planning, administration and evaluation of clinical services, staffing models, and productivity management. Participates in performance improvement activities and has responsibility for regulatory compliance of federal, state, and HOCF standards within the department. Provides assistance to the Chief Executive Officer/President with planning and coordinating improvements in quality, clinical operating processes and resource utilization.
Position Qualifications: Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in a healthcare field required. Master’s preferred. Minimum of 2-5 years of health care management experience including serving on a management or business team required. One year of hospice experience with a strong understanding of end-of-life care and multi-county service area preferred. Understanding of hospice and palliative care reimbursement, state and federal regulations that govern the provision of hospice services, including Medicare/Medicaid and 3rd party reimbursement, licensure, certification and accreditation standards. Strong leadership abilities required and able to demonstrate effective management skills. Current driver’s license in state of residence and current auto insurance required.
