Managing a special events program that is both cost effective and conducive with the Medical Center's public image. Overall responsibility for planning, execution, and evaluation of events. Makes recommendations about event strategy to continuously improve overall program performance. Develops goals, budgets, logistical plans, supervises actual event execution, works with volunteers, plans and implements sponsorship solicitation and recognition, and develops event materials, reports and analysis. Also provides supervision and guidance for special campaigns and projects, and donor cultivation and recognition events. Managing and implementing donor stewardship activities working with director of annual giving and corporate support team to ensure exceptional and timely communication, acknowledgements, and thank you letters and calls, including calls and letters from VP of Development, CEO, board members, and volunteers. Identifying and developing a portfolio of major gift prospects through donor interaction in the event and stewardship arenas. Will create and execute strategy to build relationships to further philanthropy with event supporters as well as donors and grateful patients capable of making a major gift. Will be the liaison between the Development Department and the VIP patient experience group to evaluate and help build an Executive Health program for our corporate partners. Oversee design development and implementation of standards for donor recognition. Will advise on projects with Campaign Committees and VP of Development to ensure consistent and appropriate recognition is provided for donor gifts. Bachelor's degree and 5 or more years progressively responsible experience in the areas of fundraising special events, conference planning, and/or public relations and marketing events. Proven track record in achieving event financial and attendance goals as well as budget preparation and expense control. Knowledge of and ability to work with a variety of constituencies including vendors, sponsors and guests. Must be able to manage many projects simultaneously, manage one's own events as well as supervise staff managed events, have meticulous attention to detail and have a creative sense of hospitality. This position requires some evening and weekend hours. Successful completion of all Orientation Programs.
