Your Role: This position is responsible for the efficient operation of Diagnostic Imaging Services at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital to include; CT, MRI, Interventional Radiology (IR), Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine and Radiography
This incumbent is responsible for developing and refining the mission of the department, partnering with the physicians and Medical Director. This incumbent is accountable to ensure delivery of efficient and quality cost effective services that meet the diagnostic needs of the physicians and patients. The incumbent is accountable for the department's regulatory compliance, radiation safety, technology assessment, capital need, development and analysis as well as the development and retention of all imaging staff.
This position will be responsible for approximately 60 personnel. The incumbent is expected to develop, introduce, maintain, and continuously improve the quality of technologies, services, procedures, and practices that respond to the needs of our customers in a timely, efficient, and professional manner. The incumbent will develop, implement, and carry out a plan for financial resources that will meet budget targets and revenue projections in accordance with organizational needs.
This role works with all members of the healthcare team to effectively identify and resolve problems, develop new services, comply with regulations, enhance staff effectiveness, and meet facility and system goals. This role supports the development and adoption of standardized protocols and procedures for all modalities within the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital Imaging Services Department.
Positions reporting to this title include but are not limited to: Radiology Managers, Supervisors, Clerical and Technical staff.
Pediatric technical experience
8+ year's progressive management experience in Imaging Department operations.
Experience in 2 or more modalities
Effective knowledge of personnel management and team building skills.

We support the Image Gently Alliance for Radiation Safety in Pediatric Imaging, dedicated to raising awareness of lower radiation doses in the imaging of children. Children's Hospital also supports and practices the radiation safety principle of ALARA, an acronym for "as low as reasonably achievable."
