JOB SUMMARY: Consults with customers and other Learning Consultants to determine the most appropriate and effective solutions to assess learning effectiveness. Work in tandem with the Learning Analyst to identify data to collect and then analyze to guide continuous improvement with how we deliver learning. Key to this position is the ability to translate data into meaningful and actionable information. This consultant will also contribute to the development of learning objectives, content, and design, as well as join a rotation for in-person course facilitation.
Develops and communicates reporting of learning metrics for all Learning & Development initiatives ranging from small to VUMC-wide.
Consults with customers to determine appropriate solutions for the business needs.
Conducts needs analysis to determine performance/engagement objectives.
Uses information obtained in analysis to create solutions that meets the need of customer.
Implements solution or program based on appropriate design.
Reviews, evaluates and reports program or solution effectiveness.
May provide direction to those in supportive roles within the department, particularly with analyzing learning data.
Leads classroom facilitation of content within new hire onboarding and customer service-related material.

CONSULTING (INTERMEDIATE): - The capability, normally based on a specific expertise, to influence others, manage the relationship and deliver results for a client in a professional manner.
TRAINING NEEDS ANALYSIS (INTERMEDIATE): - A process of collecting information about a proposed learning program. A needs analysis addresses the following issues: restating the request, stating the business need, identifying the performance gap, conducting a task analysis, describing the learners, describing the learning environment, and identifying the project constraints.
DATA ANALYSIS (INTERMEDIATE): - A process of collecting information from various data sources and analyzing within excel. Creation of various reports and/or dashboards to display the information in a simple, meaningful way.
Organizational Impact: Executes job responsibilities with the understanding of how output would affect and impact other areas related to own job area/team with occasional guidance.
Problem Solving/ Complexity of work: Analyzes moderately complex problems using technical experience and judgment.
Breadth of Knowledge: Has expanded knowledge gained through experience within a professional area.
Team Interaction: Provides informal guidance and support to team members.
Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) and 3 years relevant experience
Intermediate Excel skills
Tableau skills are highly preferred
