JOB SUMMARY: Experienced in gathering and organizing business data and reporting requirements and turning those requirements into effective tools. Responsible for creating, extracting and displaying data in support of the Office of Healthcare Compliance initiatives. Combines a strong business intelligence background with analytical and listening skills to develop regulatory monitoring solutions that communicate results in forms actionable to customers. Participates in the implementation of reporting mechanisms developed. Frequently takes a lead on analytical reviews, dataset pulls and validation, and other projects, including reports, dashboards, and presentations from a wide range of existing functions and data sources.
Analysis. Plans and performs the extraction and analysis of pertinent data to support ongoing work and audit plans, including importing, cleaning, transforming, and validating data for analysis and designing related reports, updates and presentation slides.
Internal Controls. Where applicable, reviews and recommends efficient and appropriate reporting, system edits, or other data controls which would improve VUMC compliance or lower regulatory risk.
Project Management. Develops or assists in development of project plans, whether part of an audit plan or specially assigned, including compiling data, basic investigation and inquiry, and research and summarize findings.
Collaboration. Facilitates communication between the Compliance Office and other VUMC functions to minimize regulatory risk and maximize clinical and administrative efficiency.
