HPNF is seeking a Director of Philanthropy. The Director of Philanthropy is responsible for driving fundraising results. This is truly an exciting opportunity for someone who loves sales.
Has a connection to our mission—perhaps involving the impact of great nursing or having a friend or family member who benefited deeply from hospice or palliative care.
Is a connector of people—always making unexpected connections between people and has genuine interest in their stories, as well as great skill with listening and empathy.
Has an established pipeline of contacts.
Has a background in sales or business development—or in fundraising through one-on-one engagements.
A strong decision-maker.
Anaction-orientedleader who is always focused on how to move things forward.
Collaborative and skilled at working within a team-based work environment.
A great communicator—both in writing and in person within a variety of settings.
Role Expectations and Responsibilities
Drive sales (fundraising) pipeline and results—identify and prioritize high-level prospects in collaboration with key leaders and supporters.
Relationship management—leads strategy for all prospects and investors and assigns roles and action steps.
Lead small fundraising staff—prioritize and strengthen the processes, systems, and tools to support a seamless and simple fundraising operation.
Build relationships with leadership to identify and understand projects in need of funding, and opportunities for collaboration.
Board liaison—work with CEO, SVP, and national board of directors on major fundraising initiatives.
Grant writing and reporting activities.
Location: Remote Position—Some travel required.
Compensation & Benefits. This is a part-time, exempt position with a comprehensive benefits package. Salary is competitive and commensurate with level of experience.
