Works to execute communications strategies relating to media relations and social media for New Hampshire’s only academic health system. Compiles daily summaries of media coverage, assists in posting to and monitoring of social media platforms, writes and distributes news releases, responds to incoming media queries, and takes part in weekly on-call rotation for media relations coverage.
Monitors incoming requests from the media, responding as directed by the Media Relations Manager
Creates daily summary of news media coverage of D-HH (D-H in the News)
Responsible for reporting and measurement of news media coverage that demonstrates the department's proactive media results and recommends changes based on trends and statistics.
Works with Social Media Specialist on drafting and editing, posting, monitoring, and measuring engagement and reach of D-H social media platforms, and produces reports and metrics on those platforms
Publishes health and wellness content to hyperlocal social media outlets
Creates, maintains and disseminates press materials, i.e. press releases, media advisories and photo opportunity announcements.
Assists in promotion of the Dartmouth-Hitchcock’s events, new providers, and other significant news.
Works to identify stories of interest that promote Dartmouth-Hitchcock’s mission as well as pitch news stories to appropriate outlets/reporters (traditional and social media) to strengthen and build awareness of the system.
Participates in weekly on-call coverage, on a rotating basis, with Media Relations staff to facilitate response to news media inquiries after business hours and over holidays.
Works with Communications & Marketing leadership to help craft communications strategy.
