Responsibilities

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine is seeking to hire an NGS Lab Manager to join their Technology Center for Genomics & Bioinformatics (TCGB). Primary duties include:

•Oversee day to day NGS operational activities of the Center
•Supervise and lead a team of research and lab assistants
•Provide safety and regulatory/compliance assistance for all translational research and service activities
•Oversee financial efforts, including budget management, purchasing/materials and inventory management
•Review pricing, billing and contracts with vendors and research sponsors
•Log and accession samples 

Qualifications

•Must have at least two years of working experience in NGS 
•Previous experience in supervising staff is highly preferred
•Experience in molecular biology combined with a very strong record of high-throughput data management, supported by publication in this area, preferred
•Excellent organizational skills
•Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
