Operations Manager - HIM - Revenue Cycle- AdventHealth Orlando - FT Location Address: 711 East Altamonte Drive Work Hours/Shift: ⢠Full Time - 4 am - 1p ⓠMonday ⓠFriday ⓠMust be flexible with days You Will Be Responsible For: - Assigns and monitors the completion of daily workloads to ensure the work is completed in accordance with established timeframes. Performs routine section work as necessary to avoid backlogs.
- Works with HIM Managers and Directors to determine staffing needs, work schedules, and develops departmental goals and objectives. Participation in job interviewing, selecting and assuring first rate training of new employees.
- Serves as a resource to employees, answering questions, and clarifying guidelines. Conducts effective, routine section meetings and educational sessions.
- Utilizes knowledge of all state and federal guidelines as related to Release of Information and appears as medical record custodian in depositions or court appearances as department needs necessitate.
Resolves customer complaints in a timely fashion. Works with campus administrative teams and office to discuss any issues related to HIM and routes
Qualifications
What Will You Need: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: - Associateâ™s degree Health Information Technology, Business, Science, Arts, or Healthcare related field
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: - 1-3 yearsâ™ experience in a healthcare-related organization
- Prior Release of Information experience
- Three years supervisory or management experience
LICENSURE OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED: Job Summary: The Health Information Management Operations Manager under general direction of the Director, performs a wide range of duties including; supervising the day- to-day operations of the Document Imaging, Release of Information, Call Center, Chart Completion and/or Transcription. Adheres to the AdventHealth policies and procedures to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
