Work Hours/Shift: - Full-Time, Monday – Friday
You Will Be Responsible For: - Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer
- Promotes collaboration, partnership and relationships among the participants and stakeholders in a design project
- Work with subject matter experts and identify target audience’s training needs
- Applies advanced adult learning theories into practical, application-based leadership learning strategy
- Create and maintain job/task analysis, training needs analysis, design documents, storyboards, video scripts, project plans, and other artifacts for various training projects
- State instructional end goals and create content that matches them
- Develop and maintain training materials, documentation, manuals, job-aids, quick- reference guides, and other training aids (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc.)
- Utilize sound instructional design methodologies to create complex (e.g., guided discovery, case method, problem-based, game-based, competency-based approaches), high-quality and innovative (formal, informal, blended) instructional materials and learning solutions
- Conduct instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts
- Design and develop learning solutions utilizing modern adult learning (student-centered) methods to ensure learning initiatives are constructed to produce the desired changes in behavior, attitude, knowledge, and skills needed to make real business impact
- Apply tested instructional design theories, practice and methods
- Acquires and applies new technology skills to instructional design practice
- Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail, quality work, and customer service
- Decide on the criteria used to judge learner’s performance and develop assessment instruments
- Maintain project documentation and course folders
Qualifications
What You Will Need: Education and Experience Required: - Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Instructional Design, Training, or other related discipline
- 2+ years of experience in learning design and development
- Master’s Degree instructional design, educational technology or similar preferred
- Change Management Experience preferred
- Prosci Change Management professional certification preferred
Knowledge and Skills Required: - Thorough knowledge of adult learning principles and multiple instructional design processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional written, verbal, critical thinking, problem solving, and interpersonal communication skills
- Flexible mindset and adaptable nature, with the ability to rapidly change course based on needs of the business
- Ability to develop workflows and business procedures
- Strong organizational and coordination skills
- Experience designing, developing, and delivering emerging learning solutions including game-based learning, video, micro-learning, simulations, and immersive scenarios requiring multiple branching elements
- Functional experience with industry standard authoring software (Evolution, Impression, Captivate, Dreamweaver, etc.)
- Experience working in an agile (SAM) and waterfall (ADDIE) design environment
- Experience with audio/video editing and animation software
- Business and ROI-minded, performance improvement driven
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
Job Summary: The CxC Instructional Designer is responsible for creating in person & online learning modules, live web-based training sessions, instructor-led training guides, and supporting materials following an instructional design process. He/she will use strong interpersonal, written, and visual communication skills to bring together engaging content to better communicate and educate our frontline team members, members of leadership and other stakeholders. The goal is to facilitate learners in acquiring knowledge, skills and competencies in an effective and appealing manner. The Instructional Designer will manage all training materials to ensure a globally consistent training experience that directly impacts team member success. He/she will partner and collaborate with other learning professionals and business partners in delivering a globally consistent learning experience. He/she will be expected to dissect current workflow processes and aid in identifying improvements and implementing more efficient and accurate processes. The Instructional Designer will require a strong understanding of adult learning theory, learner retention and application, and demonstrate graphic, layout, and instructional design skills to build curriculum that are engaging, fun, and memorable.
