You Will Be Responsible For:

Coordinates activities between Management Information Systems and the Patient Financial Services departments for efficient application of technology to meet the needs of the departments.
Assists in maintenance of department specified E-mailboxes and administration of department wide support E-mailboxes and websites.
Responsible for requesting, supporting, and modifying all levels of computer access for specified Revenue Cycle departments.
Responsible for reviewing, supporting and assisting with billing and educational needs in PFS as well as Revenue Cycle departments.
Requests authorization and provides co-technical support for outside entities or vendors with remote access to the internal AdventHealth network.
Liaison for communication within the Revenue Cycle departments at all locations of Florida Hospital, and across departments, to ensure information is shared for effective operations.
Maintains and assists in supporting multiple servers and applications owned by Revenue Cycle departments.
Responsible for implementing new computer applications and ordering new computer equipment for effective data entry and to ensure consistency of Hospital records.
Works closely with end users, other Coordinators, Systems Support Manager, Sr. Project Manager, Operations Manager, and serves as a trouble-shooter for application problems including writing and presenting forms requests to MIS.
Assists in helping to resolve software and hardware problems via the phone or in person in an efficient and professional manner. Effectively prepares and presents educational documentation of assigned network, hardware or software systems to enhance the knowledge of our customers and team members.
Identifies and reports process anomalies and system issues to appropriate leadership, as applicable.
Coordinates with Sr. Project Manager and PFS Management for staff education via Payer Updates regarding process changes, system issue resolution, and Account or MRI duplication error control.
What You Will Need:
Ability to coordinate, plan, develop and maintain data processing systems for Patient Access and Patient Financial Services in terms of assisting in billing/collection procedures.
Discretion when discussing personnel/patient related issues that are confidential in nature.
Responsive to the ever-changing matrix of hospital needs and ability to act accordingly.
Strong organizational skills and a positive resourceful attitude toward achieving overall Hospital goals.
Ability to analyze complex computer related problems within the department and perform effectively while working within tight time constraints.
Physical ability to move freely about the department and Hospital and in order to operate the necessary equipment or applications to meet performance expectations.
Proficiency in the performance of basic math functions.
Ability to effectively communicate professionally both written and in oral with an acceptable use of English and spelling.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Two years’ experience in one or more areas in computer related programs, business office, and/or equivalent related area.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
4-year college degree in Management Information Systems or other related field and/or extensive 5 years of experience and knowledge within Patient Financial Services.
Experience in problem analysis with an emphasis in healthcare or business applications.
Provides accurate and timely support service of specified network and hardware systems in support of our customers, patients and families and is compliant with defined Management Information Systems standards. Troubleshoots network and software problems in a timely manner and escalates encountered situations to responsible area with detailed and accurate information, contributing to the efficient function of the organization. Supports in accomplishing core performance indicators in Patient Financial Services.
