We are excited to be recruiting a Director of Marketing & Communications (Brand & Advertising) who is well-versed in both brand strategy and advertising creative, and passionate about using both to raise awareness and drive engagement with one of the nations leading cancer centers. Reporting to our Senior Director of Brand & Advertising, you will: - Collaborate with agency partners and internal stakeholders, develop, evolve, oversee, promote, and protect Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centers brand across all audiences, touchpoints, communications channels, and experiences.
- Champion and socialize the brand internally; ensure that MSK brand principles and guidelines are effectively expressed in institutional experiences; and manage the usage of brand assets throughout MSK.
- Work closely with MSKs agency partners to shape, influence, and refine advertising creative executions, ensuring the most impactful and breakthrough output that is also strategic and on-brand.
- Ensure MSKs advertising creative outputs are differentiated, effective, optimized, and additive to organic, press, B2B, and community efforts.
- Stay aware of and consistently monitor competitors, cultural shifts, and real-time performance data; continually evaluate MSK campaign creative against these references.
- Oversee the effective management and evolution of MSKs brand asset management platform.
- Manage MSKs Brand Manager; may manage other team members involved in brand and advertising creative.
You have: - 10+ years of experience in brand strategy, including visual identity, architecture, nomenclature, and voice, as well as significant experience evaluating and elevating creative across paid advertising channels, including programmatic display, print, OOH, social, search, OTT, TV, and Radio.
- Comfortable working closely with brand, advertising, and creative agencies.
- Exceptional writing, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Experience and familiarity developing brand, creative, and communications assets for a diverse, multi-cultural, and complex consumer audience.
- Genuine enthusiasm for the healthcare industry, cancer care, research, and education, and MSKs mission.
