Business Intelligence Developer

Under the guidance of the ITS Intelligence Manager and the Lead Data Architect, the Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for building, implementing, and supporting data warehouse solution at Benefis Health System. The role requires a firm grasp of BI implementation strategies, methodologies, enterprise database schemas, data sources, extraction/transformation/loading, dimensional modeling, data mining, predictive analysis, data quality, report development, and data visualization.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate in design, development, and analysis of data architecture and warehousing approaches
Build, implement, support BI solutions
Develop BI databases
Demonstrate knowledge of key enterprise source systems and database schemas
Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading
Build and maintain multidimensional/tabular cubes
Develop MDX and DAX measures for aggregate analysis of healthcare metrics
Participate in development of predictive models to answer specific business questions
Write and deploy reporting and dashboard solutions
Use effective data visualization techniques to communicate information clearly and efficiently
Work to ensure the quality, accuracy, and integrity of data
Test, monitor, manage, and validate BI activity including data extraction, transformation, movement, loading, cleansing, and updating processes
Perform varying methods of data analysis
Participate in the development of consistent data definitions and use
Create data flow documentation
Participate in developing and upholding data management strategies
Demonstrates a self-directed approach to departmental responsibilities
