Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN seeks Business Intelligence Developer who will apply data models for business solution reports and analytics, develop data processes, and use standard business intelligence tools and frameworks to satisfy end-user data needs. Develop ETL processes for data and utilize BI tools to satisfy end user data needs. Ensure appropriate documentation for all development and modification. Ensure the integrity and security of institutional data. Identify current and future needs of relevant stakeholders and customize services to better address them. Use one or more ETL/ETT/ETM tools and utilities to accomplish appropriate data warehouse tasks. Extract data from simple operational data sources or external data sources and transform basic data through cleansing, aggregation, summarization, and integration to be loaded into some form of the data warehouse. Apply new software features in one or more ETL/ETT/ETM tools or utilities. Develop technical solutions for medium to complex problems that relate to understanding data source systems and how that data and the enterprise ETL development software jobs integrate with the existing data structure. Collaborate with data analysts and data architects to determine the intent of the project based on what the end business user is attempting to achieve. Implement small projects or components of large ones, ensuring that business timelines are met. Provide subject matter expertise for other members of the team for development processes and job status in development.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering required. Two years (24 months) of experience in the job offered or related position required. Must have experience in data source systems and ETL (extract/transform/load) development and 11.5 version of the IBM DataStage development tool.
