Vanderbilt University Medical Center Executive Search Team is conducting a national search for a strong experienced leader for our Associate Vice President (AVP) of Professional and Hospital Outpatient Coding and Revenue Operations. Experience leading a large team (150+) in a highly matrixed environment is a prerequisite.
The executive in this role will initiate and lead institutional work to optimize charge capture, coding, and documentation processes. Establishment and continuous improvement of anomaly detection and process controls will be required to monitor and measure the impacts of these initiatives.
The Associate Vice President of Professional and Hospital Outpatient Coding and Revenue Operations holds an executive role within VUMC Revenue Cycle Services and is responsible for the overall strategic direction of coding, charge capture, and related documentation across VUMC. Coding certification (AAPC or AHIMA) is required (or in progress). Bachelor's Degree is required and a Masters' Degree is highly desirable.
