We are responsible for establishing and implementing MSK's compensation philosophy and programs for staff, physicians, and executives. This includes maintaining an equitable market-based salary structure as well as standards for starting salaries, promotional increases, reward programs, and other salary adjustments; administering annual salary merit increases and bonus processes as well as maintaining key elements of a job architecture framework. We develop and support programs and processes that enable MSK to remain competitive in the recruitment and retention of staff at all levels of the organization while maintaining institutional budgetary priorities. We work closely with departments and with our colleagues in Human Resources to ensure that our pay practices are fair, equitable, and lawful.

As a Compensation Director, you will: Drive the day-to-day compensation program design and operations for MSK's non-physician staff, including development, implementation, and management of work that ensures compensation policies and procedures are market competitive, internally equitable and cost-efficient. Ensure compensation programs support MSK's strategic objectives and goals, and follow applicable legal requirements and regulations (including Fair Labor Standards Act, Equal Pay Act, Americans with Disabilities Act). Anticipate and monitor job market changes and compensation trends and pivot MSK when needed to meet market demand. Design and implement the annual merit increase and year-end incentive programs, market study adjustments, and job catalog and job evaluation activities. Plan, guide and direct the functions and activities of the employees on the team and to provide efficient and effective operations. Collaborate with HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisitionteam to develop compensation programs and policies to support recruitment, retention, and talent management. Participate on various teams in support of division/organization-wide projects and initiatives.
You Need: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. 10+ years of compensation experience in a complex organization. Healthcare is a plus To be a leader, with a history of mentoring and developing the talent in your team An analytic attitude and the with a focus on measuring program impacts and continuously improving them Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey technical compensation-related concepts and best practices to individuals with limited knowledge of compensation. Skills including, but not limited to, analytics, statistics, project management, change management, and business process design. A high degree of comfort in liaising with HRIS on systems-related business process design and improvement A preference for working in a fast-paced, highly complex environment focused on digital transformation.
