Job Summary
Develops the product strategy, vision and roadmaps that align with the architecture and technology direction of the business unit, consistent with enterprise priorities, as agreed with product-line management. Oversees and sets guidelines for customer research and works with key stakeholders across business and technology to develop and convey the product vision. Leads collaboration with product teams to deliver and sustain the end-to-end customer experience.
Job Duties
- Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the mission, vision and values of Geisinger in leadership behaviors, practices and decisions.
- Develops the product strategy, vision and roadmaps that align with the architecture and technology direction of the business unit, consistent with enterprise priorities, as agreed with product-line management.
- Solicits service line direction and makes recommendations for product strategy that are clearly linked to enterprise and business unit strategy and financial goals, reflecting awareness of the market context.
- Applies expert level understanding of the key financial drivers and dynamics driving business growth, and the service line's business goals.
- Orchestrates key stakeholders and product teams to turn product vision into reality. Reconciles perspectives on product strategy and priorities into a consensus that all stakeholders can support.
- Oversees vendor management of multiple enterprise applications / tools. Leads, facilitates, or participates in contract negotiations.
- Establishes and maintains support from key stakeholders within and across relevant business units to identify, then achieve, product objectives and outcomes, consistent with the relevant cultural norms.
- Builds both formal and informal professional networks among relevant internal and external stakeholders and influencers, in a manner designed to maximize the success of the product.
- Builds relationships with the product engineering and service optimization functions to ensure service delivery and optimization.
- Communicates business unit and product goals, objectives and priorities in a persuasive manner that builds support, agreement, and commitment.
- Oversees resolution of issues that arise among products and platforms, both within the business unit and between multiple business units, in a way that balances product and service line goals.
- Leads collaboration with one or more teams focused on executing the product strategy. Demonstrates servant leadership, based on achieving common objectives.
- Applies a broad perspective that informs product definition and delivery, from both customer insights and business model design, balancing these perspectives consistent with budget and organization's priority goals.
- Assesses the product line/business unit and enterprise-wide priorities, strategies and goals, along with emerging technologies, industry trends, and economic viability across the relevant product portfolio.
- Engages the business unit and enterprise management on resolving trade-offs in scope, priority, business and technical risk, and business impact of dependencies among multiple products.
- Conveys the product vision and other messages requiring action, in a way that encourages people to embrace the vision.
- Defines the language the product teams use to conduct the business of the team and is conversant with all the tools and techniques required to communicate with and send work to a team.
- Translates technical language into business language as needed to bridge the gap between business and technology professionals engaged in the full product value stream.
- Leads operations within the domains of any core technologies that the product requires to deliver capabilities (e.g. AI or machine learning, if required).
- Understands how current technologies are used within the business function to enable business operations and outcomes
- Engages appropriate IT resources to partner with business function to document requirements and contribute to ideation of solution concepts
- Assists in the development of metrics used to track value delivery.
- Conducts a monthly IT Service Review for each assigned business unit including, but not limited to, a review of IT performance scorecard, SLA adherence, and status of any Problem Management tickets

Position Details
Travel for meetings within the Geisinger footprint as business needs require.
A mix of IT and business related experience preferred for this business facing position.
