Job Summary
Responsible for coordination of change requests in the IT Environment in accordance with the Change Management Process. Ensures and follows up that Changes with authorization and approvals, includes complete details, and are implemented timely. Evaluates where improvement is needed and works to implement those improvements to those processes. Ensures processes for change and release management are defined and effectively working within the IT division.
Job Duties
- Acts as a facilitator, responsible for the overall change management process.
- Tracks change performance across IT and communicate outcomes to IT teams, senior management, and business leadership.
- Creates and maintains a Change Advisory Board group; including planning, scheduling, managing and chairing meetings.
- Includes creation of agenda and meeting minutes to discuss higher risk changes as needed.
- Assesses the risk level or impact level of a proposed change and provide the authority to implement or reject changes, based off the process and procedure documentation.
- Maintains a release repository and manages key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists.
- Assists in the facilitation of the Change Advisory Board meetings; provide for the scheduling of change requests.
- Provides appropriate and timely communication about change so that stakeholders are aware and are ready to adopt and support the change.
- Performs trend analysis to anticipate potential problems for proactive resolutions.
- Assists with improvements to drive faster adoption, higher ultimate utilization of and proficiency with the changes that impact employees.
- Partners with other IT lifecycle process owners to ensure alignment and the consistent and effective delivery of ITSM processes to the organization.
- Suggests improvements as well as work to implement those approved improvements to processes and bottlenecks that require a new process flow.
- Takes the lead and facilitates discussions around Change and release management driving this initiative across the organization.
- Reports project progress and activity to a higher level of management also notifies when there could be potential risk to the organization as a result of a change or policy violation occurring.
- Mentors and reviews work of less experienced team members, insuring service level to user departments and system.
