POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Operations Finance, the Vice President, Workforce Management and Clinical Education will have responsibility for the overall enterprise leadership of workforce management to include: Labor Management/Productivity, Labor Management Analytics, Contract Labor Management, TRA (Tenet�s internal staffing organization), Staffing and acuity systems, and regional/market based hospital recruitment teams.
FUNCTIONAL EXPECTATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
The Vice President is responsible for the enterprise success of end-to-end workforce management. This position sets the vision for managing labor, and securing the right labor. Enables the organization to operate efficiently and effectively by ensuring seamless operating procedures across the areas of responsibilities. Works closely with corporate and market senior leadership teams as well as partner teams to execute against the organization�s strategies.
The Vice President, Workforce Management will:
- Be responsible for the development and evolution of systems related to labor management, contract labor, and recruitment.
- Drive performance metrics across teams and execute on performance goals.
- Champion the identification and implementation of innovative approaches to increase service effectiveness, as well as the cost efficiency related to workforce management.
- Provide advice, counsel and information on the internal and external teams to ensure Tenet has the best talent available to help the company achieve its corporate goals and objectives.
- Partner to identify and prioritize new technology to enhance processes within the organization.
- Participate in overall strategic labor management and planning, bringing current knowledge of systems and technology, as related to redesign and efficiencies.
- Serves as an accountability partner and support to market and facility leadership for workforce management.
- Display strong business acumen, coupled with a working knowledge of healthcare trends and human resources.
Qualifications:CANDIDATE EXPERIENCE, ATTRIBUTES AND EDUCTION REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum five years of progressive healthcare workforce management experience is required, with a preference for ten years of relevant experience and a clinical background.
- Excellent work organization skills, ability to appropriately set priorities, and manage multiple projects.
- Knowledge of the healthcare industry, health trends and legislation, combined with strong business acumen.
- A well organized, decisive, and self-directed individual with a strong ability to develop an organizational culture that fosters teamwork.
- Ability to effectively diagnose situations or conditions and display excellent intuitive judgment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups and to deliver high quality written and verbal presentations.
- Ability to think strategically and have the communication and leadership skills to follow through on development plans.

Education/Certifications
A Bachelor�s degree is required, and a master�s degree in Business or related discipline strongly preferred.
Compensation
A competitive compensation program will be tailored to the selected candidate. Base salary will be supplemented by a performance bonus and comprehensive, well-rounded benefits program, which includes relocation assistance.
