The Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center Neurobehavioral Psychiatry Service is seeking 2 child psychiatrists interested in autism and neurodevelopmental disorders to join our growing neurobehavioral psychiatry continuum of care. The CCHMC neurobehavioral psychiatry continuum of care is a highly regarded, national leader in the treatment of youth and young adults with neurodevelopmental disorders, and includes a specialized 10-bed inpatient unit, a dedicated multidisciplinary outpatient clinic, and active research program. Our neurobehavioral psychiatry service will be expanding in Fall 2023 on completion of our new mental health building with additional dedicated neurobehavioral outpatient space, and the opening of two new intensive outpatient programs--a Severe Behavior Day Treatment Program and a Neurobehavioral Partial Hospitalization Program. Team members will join a growing neurobehavioral psychiatry team that currently includes 6 child psychiatrists, 3 APRNs, 4 psychologists, and 3 social work therapists, supported by dedicated care managers, social workers, clinic nurses, clinic MAs, and clinic behavior support. Our multidisciplinary clinic also includes Genetics, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy services. The continuum of care functions as a collaborative, innovative, multidisciplinary team focusing on improving care for individuals with a wide range of neurodevelopmental disorders and their families.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for treating children and young adults with autism and developmental disorders. Opportunities exist across multiple levels of care in outpatient, inpatient and in our new partial hospitalization program. Qualified candidates will have the opportunity to participate in program development, quality improvement and patient safety initiatives across the continuum of care. The position can be customized to include time across different levels of care based on the candidate's interest and experience. Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Required:
Doctor of Medicine OR Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine OR equivalent
Unrestricted licensed physician
Approval/credentialing from CCHMC Medical Staff Services Division
Completion of all required pre-employment activities
Assistant Professor appointment or eligibility
Prior clinical practice experience may be required based on the needs of the department
