Assists the Manager/Director of Strategic Planning with the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of strategic initiatives across the Northside Hospital System; initiatives such as service line planning, outpatient geographic expansion, community benefit, and physician alignment. Also prepares recommendations for organizational action based on data analysis, fact finding and market research. Duties include the coordination and maintenance of all market research data, assisting with the institution's certificate of need and other regulatory activities, and performing project management and other staff functions.
Assists management in the development and administration of an organization-wide planning process for Northside Hospital; assists with the preparation, implementation, and revision of the organization's Service Line Strategic Plan.
Assists management with the identification of short-term and long-term growth opportunities; serves as an internal planning consultant for the organization; collaborates with various departments in the analysis and interpretation of statistical data, utilization forecasts, service trends, and market opportunities.
Assists with the institution’s certificate of need and other regulatory activities.
Responsible for market research including demographic, service line market share, competitive, and physician alignment analyses; maintains and updates the requisite tools to perform said analyses.
Performs special projects as assigned by Manager.
Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Immediately reports any mechanical or electrical equipment malfunctions, unsafe conditions, or employee/patient/visitor injury-accident to Manager.
REQUIRED:
Bachelor's Degree in Health Administration, Public or Business Administration, or closely related field and five years' experience as outlined below.
Minimum five years of responsible strategic planning experience in a multi-hospital environment.
Demonstrated knowledge of technical applications of strategic planning.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently.
Demonstrate analytical and quantitative skills.
PREFERRED:
Responsible experience in finance, operations, marketing strategies and market research, in a health care environment.
Experience with mapping and spatial analytics software Esri ArcGIS.
