The Systems Analyst I provides administrative and technical help by performing data testing, providing coordination between the system and user groups, developing and modifying programs, assisting in the development of policies and procedures, providing user training and monitoring of system changes. Studies user requirements, procedures and problems to automate processing, or to improve existing computer system. Designs, implements and maintains automated and manual systems. Installs, tests, maintains and documents computer programs that automate specific business processes. Works with users in the support of business applications.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
Studies current operational procedures, identifies problems and learns specific requirements for systems.
Provides help during system installation, conversions, printer connectivity, report archival and distribution, production schedule updates/changes, and other production help related tasks.
Provides customer needs pertaining to the development of new information systems to meet current and projected needs.
Based on customer need, implements and tests new applications, database designs and implementation to help applications.
Monitors performance of programs after implementation, including testing and making revisions to attain user approval.
Studies current operational procedures, identifies problems and learns specific requirements for systems.
Executes the process, studies the results, troubleshoots and interacts with users.
Writes and maintains reports, procedures, memoranda and/or user manuals to describe program development, rationale, coding, testing, changes, and corrections.
Resolves operational problems and user concerns that arise during day-to-day operations.
