St. Luke's Health System in Nampa is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Tech to join our team.

Position SummaryThe Biomedical Equipment Technician 1, under supervision, serve as an entry-level clinical equipment support technician toprovide inventory control, minor repairs, and maintenance of medical equipment technologies, devices, instruments, and systems.

Responsibilities

• Repair, install, maintain, calibrate, and inspect a diverse range of therapeutic and diagnostic biomedical instrumentation and equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and electrical safety testing of clinical equipment, devices, and systems.
• Diagnose and correct system and equipment malfunctions.
• Tests the functionality of medical equipment making necessary operational adjustments.
• Maintain documentation of all service events, performance tests, and corrective maintenance.
• Provide technical assistance and instruction to personnel regarding equipment operations and maintenance.
• May provide emergency/unscheduled repairs and/or maintenance as needed.
• Complies with appropriate safety practices and procedures and with applicable federal, State and local codes, regulations and requirements.
• Handles basic issues using knowledge of procedures and policies. Refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
• Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Department of Defense (DOD) Certification or 2 years relevant experience in lieu of degree.
