JOB DESCRIPTION

Nemours is seeking a Video & Film Production Intern (Part-time, up to 20 hours per week for 15 weeks), to assist our Nemours Estate team in Wilmington, Delaware.

Nemours Estate Learning Programs Department works closely with the Department of Child Life at the Nemours Children's Hospital to provide virtual programming for patients and families. The Video & Film Production Intern will work both on-site at Nemours Estate and in the Nemours Children's Hospital and remotely to create video projects for patient programming in the Nemours Children's Hospital, DE. These video programs are streamed directly to patients at bedside, enabling access to programming for those who must remain in their hospital rooms for the duration of their stay. The intern will focus primarily on a virtual summer camp project and assist with other projects as needed.

Under the direction of the Learning Programs Coordinator, they will film, edit and format video programs for a pediatric hospital audience. Filming conditions are a combination of outdoors and indoors, mostly onsite at the 220-acre historic Nemours Estate. The intern will ideally use their own equipment or equipment on-site at Wilmington University, but accommodations can be made to use equipment owned by Nemours Estate and/or the Nemours Children's Hospital. At the end of the internship experience, the intern should be able to add at least one completed video project to their professional portfolio.

The Video & Film Production Internship is well-suited for students who wish to expand their scope of video work. The intern should also have moderate skills in video editing and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere) as well as experience with Final Cut Pro or Davinci Resolve. Candidates who also have animation and/or graphic design skills are always valued.

Job Requirements

* Must be currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a Bachelor's degree program at Wilmington University.

* Must be able to pass a background check.
