SUMMARY OF POSITION:
This position involves project management, facilitation, requirements gathering, functional testing, and operational work. The mix of these tasks varies over time depending on business needs. The role works directly with both clients and software engineers to facilitate the development of new functionality. This position is responsible for project leadership and ongoing information technology for small to medium sized areas and must lead project teams and other personnel in planning and executing projects. This role supports our research and education missions.
 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Manage projects and facilitate the fulfillment of user requests
Schedule and facilitate project meetings, coordinate and follow up with project team members, and manage project changes
Use dedicated project management tools to create work breakdown structures, schedules, project status updates, and charters
Gather requirements, create test plans, perform functional testing, and maintain application support documentation
Troubleshoot errors prior to escalation to developers or system administrators
Serve as a subject matter expert for 1 or more clients
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Either: (a) Associate's degree plus two (2) additional years of related experience or (b) four (4) years total of related experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Takes a customer centric approach, partnering with clients to achieve desired outcomes
Experience leading projects, performing requirements gathering, and functional testing
Familiarity with cybersecurity assessment and mitigation
Experience in academic, research, and rapidly changing environments
Is a self-starter with strong communication skills who can work independently and in a team
