Schedule: Full Time Days
Shift: 8-5 Monday-Thursday and 8-2:30 on Friday (40 hours/ week total)

The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Orlando
The role you’ll contribute: OurLegacy is designated by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) as the only organ procurement organization (OPO) in east central Florida and is accredited by the American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB) as a tissue recovery agency. OurLegacy's scope of operations extends to each of the following hospitals within the AdventHealth's Hospital system: Altamonte, Apopka, Celebration, Daytona Beach, Deland, East Orlando, Fish Memorial, Kissimmee, New Smyrna Beach, Orlando, Palm Coast, Waterman and Winter Park. Additionally, CMS has designated OurLegacy to provide organ and tissue donation services to all non-AdventHealth acute care and critical access hospitals and free-standing emergency rooms in the following counties: Brevard, Flagler, Indian River, Lake, Okeechobee, Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Sumter and Volusia. The Donor Relations Specialist collaborates with community and corporate partners to help maximize education on organ and tissue donation and donor designation. Under supervision, develops, implements and evaluates fund development initiatives to benefit community and donor family education programs. In addition, the coordinator actively recruits and maintains participation in corporate education programs designed to increase actionable donor designations. The Donor Relations Specialist actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

·Creates and maintains positive working relationships with targeted audiences, including but not limited to, corporate and community partners, financial contributors, volunteers, and faith community leaders.
·Actively raises funds to benefit community and donor family education through the identification of grant opportunities, development of grant proposals, and coordination of at least two fundraising events within a 12-month period.
·Collaborates with the public relations manager in the development, implementation, and evaluation of key educational initiatives, including the Workplace Partnership for Life and Faith Community Outreach programs, providing a monthly progress report to the manager. Coordinates a minimum of 30 in-services/activities for these key publics within a 12- month period.
·Actively recruits and maintains participation in the Workplace Partnership for Life program. Serves as the primary representative for a minimum of 40-50 companies and organizations, specifically coordinating annual campaigns at each to increase donation education and actionable donor designations, reaching at least 40-50,000 employees every year.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
·Bachelor's Degree in communication or related field, i.e. public relations, marketing, public health, journalism.
·Two years public relations experience.
Preferred qualifications:
·Two years' experience in fund development
