Under the direction of the ISS Acquisitions Business Operations Manager and Supervisor, this role is responsible for consulting with the UCLA Health business units and the UCLA Health Information Technology (IT) Services Department. The goal is to understand standard technology needs and challenges, ensuring that IT standards, procurement, finance, hospital inventory, acquisitions, logistics services, and vendor management align with the best practices supporting UCLA Health IT’s overall business strategy.
This role serves as a liaison between UCLA Health IT and all other UCLA Health departments and management to identify, forecast, and address IT hardware standards, vendor management, IT hardware procurement, hospital inventory, acquisitions, and logistics needs.
This is a fixed-hybrid role which will require you to be onsite Monday - Thursday or as required by operational need; there are no reimbursements for travel to "home office" location. Each employee must complete a FlexWork Agreement with their manager which will outline arrangement parameters and aids both parties in fully understanding expectations. Arrangements are regularly evaluated, and are subject to termination.
Salary offers are determined based on various factors including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, and equity. The full salary range for this position is $68,800 - $141,000. The budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is approximately between the minimum and midpoint.
Qualifications
Experience with online systems related to purchasing and
auditing
Familiarity with UCLA-based applications such as Ascend,
EMPAC, Service-Now, and RSD
Familiarity with Windows based applications such as Word,
Excel, Access, and Outlook
Knowledge of IT Acquisitions and Logistics processes
Ability to:
clearly document processes, procedures, and
changes
communicate the status of the hardware and
software purchases and their disposition within the Medical Center
multi-task and provide direction to colleagues,
clients, and vendors

work closely with IT Operations, IT Engineering,
CareConnect, Project Management Office, various Vendors, and UCLA material
Management teams on resource allocations, project initiatives, status requests,
and quotes
create and update SOP for various IT
Acquisitions and Logistics procedures and how to
enforce CICARE initiatives
learn ITIL processes to help streamline IT
operations workflow
manage and improve repair procedures/processes
for iss and csc departments
manage and monitor asset management inputting
and updating in service-now cmdb and campus inventory
manage and run weekly it acquisitions and
logistics meetings regarding the status of open service-now service requests
for it systems
manage equipment receiving and stock inventory
manage iss internal truck weekly deliveries
manage it operations refreshed projects for iss
and csc departments
manage stock inventory
manage, update, close, and provide customer
service for it acquisitions and logistics service-now service requests
make recommendations to improve it acquisitions
and logistics workflow and to meet it acquisitions and logistics slas and olas
mentor new it acquisitions and logistics staff
members so they understand the importance of good work ethic, good
communication, and teamwork
provide it acquisitions and logistics weekly
accomplishments report to reflect closed tickets, equipment deliveries, and
other weekly activities
provide, input, and improve it acquisitions and
logistics inventory and asset tagging of all it operations equipment
