Job Summary:
The Director Network Contract Compliance is responsible for contracting activities that create value for WMC Health including achieving cost and utilization savings, enabling clinical growth, and revenue enhancement. Additionally, this position will seek to create mutually beneficial relationships with key trading partners and is responsible for evaluating these relationships on a regular basis. As part of the Director's responsibility in value creation, this role will help to execute key strategies to reduce WMCHealth's Non-Contracted Spend, monitor internal contracts for compliance and develop metrics to maximize cost reductions for existing contracts. The position is responsible for managing staff in pursuit of these activities.
Responsibilities:
- Adhere to and support the overall Mission, Vision, and Strategies of WMC Health
- Lead contracting activities that support the Supply Chain Strategic plan and its goals of providing WMC Health customers with the high-value goods, equipment and services efficiently, effectively, and in an ethical manner, including consideration for sustainable products and diverse businesses.
- Oversee the Contract team through leadership guidance, hiring, coaching, training, and developing across the Network.
- Establish and maintain a Contracts Compliance and Rebates Program that includes all members of the WMC Health network.
- Manage community contracting (MWBE &SDVOB) program.
- Maintain a regular schedule of business reviews with trading partners.
- Directs extensive analytics and modeling, including analysis and interpretation of highly complex data, evaluate product use trends, utilization, new technology and other relevant data elements, statistics and enterprise-wide spend information. Prepares reports for performance and cost improvement.
- Identify opportunities for strategic programs with existing or new trading partners.
- Reviews and assesses applicable financial, clinical, operational and evidence based literature to determine and implement cost effective products, services and processes.
- Handle communication with customers on status of negotiations and contracts and serves as the overall conduit for communicating contract calendars and related matters to customers.
- Coordinate, communicate and share intelligence with other supply chain teams to assist and improve upon cost savings opportunities and to minimize redundancies or duplication of efforts.
- Work closely with Category managers to make sure equipment and bulk buys savings are maximized.
- Provide analytical and contract support to the Supply Chain Team.
- Analyze and implement best practices, policies and procedures across WMC Health network.
- Employs strong influence and change management skills to advance ideas and communicate a compelling case for change.
- Responsible for optimizing supply chain automation, technology and solutions.
- Provides periodic and ad hoc status reports to senior management.
- Recruit, develop and retain staff that executes work in an efficient and effective manner in support of goals, while maintain accountability for that staff.
- Creates a culture of high performance and service throughout the Supply Chain.
- Eliminate barriers and resolve escalated procurement issues. Assertively champion a culture of continuous improvement within Supply Chain.

Qualifications/Requirements:
Experience:
5-7 years of related healthcare or industry experience and clinical contract management experience in healthcare, required.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree required. Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Technical Field preferred. Master's degree preferred.
Licenses / Certifications:
AHRMM CMRP or similar preferred.
Other:
Thorough knowledge of the components of the health care supply chain including acquisition, distribution, product management, consumption management and financial analysis; ability to work proactively with customers to determine strategies to identify most cost effective products and services; ability to conduct extensive research studies on specialized hospital equipment, materials, supplies and services; ability to interact and communicate effectively both orally and in writing with vendors, department representatives and other health care staff; ability to effectively use computer applications such as spreadsheets, word processing, calendar, e-mail, and database software in performing work assignments; ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English sufficiently to perform the essential duties of the position; integrity; resourcefulness; tact; sound professional judgment; physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position. Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Special Requirements:Progressive experience demonstrating ability to accomplish objectives through a multidisciplinary team Preferred. Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, and demonstrated personal time management and project prioritization skills. Strong skills required for data accuracy and completeness. Individual exercises judgment in selecting and/or adapting methods for obtaining solutions - taking a new perspective on using existing solutions to solve for complex problems. Individual demonstrates a strong proficiency for understanding contract terms and working with legal professionals to complete contract and amendment documents.
