Client/Server Programmer Associate (Work From Home - USA)

Reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging and installing to support an organization's client/server software applications. Works directly with the application teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support software and/or software changes requested by the system. Works under immediate supervision. Uses technical skills to help monitor and maintain our critical systems/applications.
Responsible to understand assigned tasks and ask for clarification when necessary.
Responsible to work with assigned application staff and/or user community to develop design documents for assigned tasks.
Responsible to document all changes they complete on the system within designated timeframes.
Responsible for following department coding/programming guidelines to produce efficient routines.
Responsible to provide preliminary code review, testing, debugging, and general testing instructions for application staff, assist in go-live planning, assist in go-live moves, and post-live support.
Responsible to communicate any and all progress, roadblock, issues to management in a timely manner.
Responsible for providing training and documentation to team members on new development assignments.
Work is typically performed in an office environment. Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures. Work schedule will coordinate with Eastern Time zone.
Requires a good understanding with at least 1 year experience in database structure and design (in school experience accepted).
Requires a good understanding with at least 1 year experience programming in Visual Basic, C#, or similar language (in school experience accepted).
Required to complete a series of new programmer training courses and successfully complete testing for those courses.
Should be familiar with relational database concepts and client-server programmer concepts.
Knowledge/experience with InterSystems Cache/IRIS is a plus.
Knowledge/experience with Unix/Linux operating system is a plus.
Bachelor's Degree-Technology Related Degree (Required)
